TFW’s Mecca Jamilah Sullivan at Kweli / NY Times African Heritage Reading Series

ZJoin TFW Associate Editor MECCA JAMILAH SULLIVAN (author of Blue Talk and Love), LASHONDA KATRICE BARNETT (author of Jam on the Vine), and TIPHANIE YANIQUE (author of Land of Love and Drowning) for Kweli Journal’s New York Times Heritage Series reading. The writers will take center stage later this month for Kweli’s Reading and Conversation series, presented in partnership with The New York Times African Heritage Network. Noted black feminist writer and scholar E. FRANCES WHITE (author of Dark Continent of Our Bodies) will moderate the discussion. Pianist JOHN DAVIS (Halley’s Comet: Around the Piano with Mark Twain & John Davis) will perform. Kweli Pushcart nominees Nicole Dennis Benn and Kaitlyn Greenidge will also read brief pieces from their work.
